We envision an egalitarian India where every citizen has the means to reach their highest potential, respects everyone’s rights, lives in harmony with nature, and thereby becomes a true, Social Animal.
The Social Animal is an initiative by a group of friends who are moved by the poor standards of education,inequality, malnourishment, premature deaths, and ecological degradation in India.Their goal is to actively identify the problems which are most despicable yet overlooked by society and develop an efficient solution that is economical, durable, and scalable. With 50% of the population under 25 and 65% under 35, there is an overflow of ideas and innovation all around. With a little compassion added to this energy, we could see a poverty-free and healthy India within our lifetimes. The Social Animal is committed to passing on the idea of solving problems together to our nation, lending a hand to the people left behind in the uneven economic development.
We know the path to the nation that Tagore dreamed of, is a long journey, but we are committed to remembering Dr. King’s words and keep moving forward by all means.
