the Social Animal is an initiative by a group of friends who are moved by the poor standards of education, inequality, malnourishment, premature deaths, and ecological degradation in India.Their goal is to actively identify the problems which are most despicable yet overlooked by society and develop an efficient solution that is economical, durable, and scalable.With 50% of the population under 25 and 65% under 35, there is an overflow of ideas and innovation all around. With a little compassion added to this energy, we could see a poverty-free and healthy India within our lifetimes.
While we plan to increase our scope to multi-dimensional problems the country is facing in the areas of education, health, and environment, we are currently focusing on improving the basic infrastructure of government schools. No student or teacher likes to perspire in early summer, get wet in monsoon, endure the darkness of a cloudy winter, not have access to good books/library, contact disease due to unhygienic surroundings, undergo unsanitary practices, in access to clean water, inexperience the joy of a sport due to lack of sports equipment.
